Annette Funicello was an American performer and a singer. Her most famous role was as one of the original "Mouseketeers" on the 'Mickey Mouse Club.' She began singing when she was a teenager, and later became famous for her hit tracks "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess." Annette was an introverted girl who grew up in Utica and was surrounded by Italian immigrants. Annette hoped to make an entertainment industry and soon took on acting and dancing. In the mid-late 1950s, Annette became well-known as a character in a variety of "Disneysketch shows. Annette's Disney persona faded as an adult when she started playing roles for adults. She was best known as one of the first actors who pioneered"beach parties" and the "beach party" style of film. She appeared as a character in such films like How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and 'Beach Party.It was Annette continued to record songs from time to time.
