Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. She took her next bout against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen employed her impressive grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing the catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd did not have enough weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
