Barone played in the fourth season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Then in the 90s, Barone appeared as a regular in the show Carol & Company alongside Carol Burnett. Barone was also Carol Willick Ross Geller's former wife in her first Friends' appearance. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she left to take on a full-time job.
